In addition, we are not able to show the underlying web services with pictures, the only thing we cand do is to try describe them as best as we can.

Implantologia Guidata (Computer Aided Implantology)

This site, in Italian only, is for the presentation and marketing of a line of products for computer aided dental implantology, the software, and accessories and related services.

The site, in addition to the presentation as indicated above, allows the management of a database of users to send customized messages and newsletters.

This site has been designed from the start with SEO criteria, and in fact, a week after its publication, as it was definitely incomplete, it was already found on the second Google page searching "implantologia guidata." It is currently on the front page if you search for "frese chirurgiche dentali", "fronitura impianti dentali", "vendita impianti dentali", "produzione di dime chirurgiche."

Impressioni d'acqua (Water Impressions)

The gallery of watercolors by Adriana Buggin, site in Italian only for online sales of paintings in watercolor.

This site is not just a simple slide show of pictures. It relies on a database, and has the following salient features:

• It keeps a database of the paintings for sale.
• The artist herself posts her paintings online, without any intervention from the webmaster. She uploads the pictures to a special reserved area, password protected, using our program ViewFTP (FTP for dumbs). Then, with a function she can call from her private area, the images are linked to the database, thumbnails are generated, and everything is published for the sale.
• The artist can correct titles, prices, descriptions, she may withdraw the paintings from the gallery, to mark them as booked or sold. All by herself, without asking any intervention on our part, without depending on the whims of the webmaster, and so without spending a dime.
• A database of customers & visitors. It is possible to register on the site, and, after that, to login (and of course logout). Obviously there is a password management, a password retrieving procedure if forgotten, insertion, modification and deletion of personal data.
• The site layout, three columns following the so called holy graal scheme, as well as the fonts and colors are immediately changed by replacing the CSS style sheet.

For this site, we took care of the positiong on search terms as "vendita acquarelli" (sale watercolors), "acquisto acquarelli" (watercolors purchase), and the likes.

Studio Soardi

Site of the dentist studio of Dr. Carlo Maria Soardi, Brescia, and for the management of clinical data exchange between the owner of the studio and his colleagues.

This site, in addition to the presentation of the Dr. Soardi medical studio, of his publications and his CV, allows massive data exchange between the owner of the site and his colleagues. It relies on a MySql database, and has the following salient features:

• It maintains a database of authorized users, differentiating administrators, dentists and visitors.
• The administrators have access to a restricted area for managing the site and the other users.
• An FTP space is assigned to the dentist users, each user has its reserved area. This FTP space is physically allocated on a network disk, which is physically in the doctor's office. In fact, the renting of web room for the clinical images that the doctor exchanges with his colleagues would be quite expensive, as many gigabytes would be required.
• The routing of the FTP space has been implemented by us, using port forwarding from the local network Intranet of the studio to the public Internet. On the network drive, a Western Digital MyBook World Edition, which is basically a Linux machine, we installed an FTP server, an HTML server, and PHP as well: all this was done by us, after some googling.
• With this setting, Dr. Soardi is able to copy data of any kind to any other user's FTP area, and very quickly: he does not need to upload to the Internet, he just makes a copy from his desktop to a network drive, in the local Intranet. The data is immediately available to download from the colleague or colleagues who are interested.
• Likewise, any authorized user can upload via FTP, using any FTP client program as Filezilla, or by using our program ViewFTP (FTP for computer dumbs), or even using a special control page, for the computer dumb so dumb that he does not even know how to use ViewFTP. The data are then accessible to Dr. Soardi in his studio.
• It is possible to send from the site personalized messages to any registered user, or to groups of users.
• The pages layout is on two or three columns, with menus of first and second level, it is possible to quickly change it by replacing the CSS sheet style, and font and colors as well.

Of this site, we have not performed any search engine optimization, by explicit request of the buyer, who wishes to be traced for his fame and his name, rather than as one more generic dentist
